Ant Smith Pens ‘Small Penis’ Poem

Earlier in the week, author Ant Smith published an article in The Independent, in which he confessed to writing poetry about the size of his genitals.

Despite what one might expect, Smith claims a poem about his small penis has been exceptionally “well received by many men, and a fair few women too.” The poem, he believes, has been a useful tool in combatting the social stigma that plagues men with less than average sized penises. Smith names one of his primary objectives in writing this poem: “to abolish penis size anxiety.”

At his poetry blog, Prosetry, Smith details the initially difficult experience of performing the poem in front of a live audience. He notes that even though the first performance was rather uncomfortable, he would have felt like a “hypocrite” if he didn’t push himself to perform the poem.

An audio recording of “Shorty,” otherwise known as “My Small Penis,” can be heard here.
