Atlanta: The Georgia Literary Festival

 

The 2012 Georgia Literary Festival will be held November 9-11 at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. Each year the festivities are held in a different area of Georgia since the first celebration in 1999. United States Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey will deliver this year’s keynote address. Georgia Poet Laureate Judson Mitcham and poet Alice Friman are also expected to give readings. Poet and editor of the Georgia Review  Stephen Corey will moderate the panel discussion “What Worlds Do Authors Save?” Readings and panel discussions will take place Saturday, November 10 and are complimentary.
