Berl’s Brooklyn Poetry Shop Hosts Four Poets


This Friday, Berl’s Brooklyn Poetry Shop, owned, founded and operated by poets Jared White and Farrah Field, will host a reading featuring Jay Nebel, Monica McClure, Matthew Dickman and Julia Clare Tillinghast.

Nebel is the author of Neighbors, which was published last year by Saturnalia Books. Tillinghast is the author of two chapbooks, most recently Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth from Snoot Books. Matthew Dickman is author of All-American Poem (2008) and Mayakovsky’s Revolver (2012), and Monica McClure’s debut poetry collection was released from Birds LLC. The book is titled Tender Data.

Bianca Stone will host the event, which is sponsored by the Ruth Stone Foundation. Free wine and “light fare” will be provided, according to the event’s Facebook page. Berl’s is located at 126A Front Street in Brooklyn.
