George Orwell Poetry Collection Released

According to the BBC, a book of poems written by novelist George Orwell has just been released.

Orwell’s most famous literary works include his novels Animal Farm and 1984; however, he was also a prominent essayist. Orwell’s work often addressed intensely political subjects such as fascism as well as social issues like poverty.

BBC’s Duncan Kennedy met with editor Dione Venables to talk more about the poet and this new collection. According to the article, the collected poems demonstrate “a different side” of Orwell.

Orwell died of Tuberculosis in 1950.
