Tonight, the Monday Night Poetry Series at KGB bar will celebrate its season finale.

Hosts John Deming and Matthew Yeager wrap up the spring season of the 19-year-old reading series with poets Matthew Rohrer, Geoffrey Nutter and Randall Potts.

Rohrer is the author of over five collections of poetry. His first, A Hummock in the Malookas, won the National Poetry Series in 1994. Mary Oliver chose the manuscript. His last collection is Destroyer and Preserver from Wave Books, and his forthcoming book, Surrounded by Friends, will be published by Wave this year.  He teaches in the NYU MFA program.

Nutter is a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, and two of his collections are also Wave Books. His most recent collection, The Rose of January, was published by Wave in 2013. He’s the winner of the 2001 Colorado Prize.

Potts’s book, Collusion Center, was released in 1994 from O Books. He is also the author of Recant: (A Revision), a chapbook from Leave Books, which was also released in 1994. Also a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, Potts has taught at the University of San Francisco and California College of the Arts.

The reading is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm at KGB Bar, located at 85 East 4th Street in New York City’s East Village. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more details.
