KGB Monday Night Poetry Series Returns for Fall Season
After poets Deborah Landau and David Lehman packed the house for the season opener last week, KGB Monday Night Poetry Series returns for its second reading of the fall season.
Tonight at 7:30pm, poets Nicky Beer and Leopoldine Core will read from their work. Beer is the author of The Octopus Game (2015) and The Diminishing House (2010), both from Carnegie Mellon University Press. Other work has appeared in Best American Poetry, AGNI, Indiana Review, Kenyon Review, Narrative Magazine, The Nation, Nerve, New Orleans Review, Pleiades, Poetry, and The Washington Post among other publications. Beer currently teaches at University of Colorado.
Leopoldine Core has also authored two books, one of which is a poetry collection called Veronica Bench. She is a 2015 Whiting Award winner in fiction. She lives here in Manhattan, according to the Facebook Event page.
