Film about Nabeel Yasin released

“Poet of Baghdad” Nabeel Yasin — who was persecuted under Saddam Hussein and named on the Iraqi dictator’s cultural blacklist — has been immortalized on film, BBC News reports Fearing for his life, Yasin ultimately fled Iraq. He currently lives in the U.K. with his wife, according to the PEN American Center, which published his small piece of prose about being home and away. There is also a story about him here.
