The LA Times has given a warm review to “Howl,” a “challenging, impressionistic biopic-cum-courtroom drama” about Allen Ginsberg, his classic poem and the obscenity trial it caused. Reuters is less convinced. The movie stars James Franco, Mary-Louise Parker, David Strathairn and Jeff Daniels.
