The National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry finalists were announced Saturday: Versed, Rae Armantrout; A Village Life, Louise Glück; Chronic, D.A. Powell; Captive Voices: New and Selected Poems, Eleanor Ross Taylor; Museum of Accidents, Rachel Zucker. Four of these five were recently listed at Coldfront’s 2009 Year in Review under Best New Book of Poetry, among other categories (Stephen Burt also got a nod in the award for criticism for his book of essays about contemporary poetry, Close Calls With Nonsense):
