Robert Hass Wins Wallace Stevens Award
The Academy of American Poets has awarded Robert Hass with the $100,000 Wallace Stevens Award for “outstanding and proven mastery in the art of poetry,” according to Poets.org.
The Wallace Stevens Award, a lifetime achievement award, is given each year, and the Academy’s Board of Chancellors selects the recipient. The award was first established in 1994 when it was presented to W.S. Merwin. A list of all previous recipients can be found here.
