The Bronx Museum of the Arts Celebrates ‘The BreakBeat Poets: New American Poetry in the Age of Hip-Hop’
On Friday September 18th at 6:30pm, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, in collaboration with Mosaic Magazine and PEN American Center, will celebrate the release of a new poetry anthology focusing on poetry “in the age of Hip Hop.”
The anthology, called The BreakBeat Poets, is a “multi-generational examination of life and poetry” and features over 70 different poets.
At the anthology’s release, several of the anthology’s contributors will read. Those participating include Kevin Coval, Nate Marshall, Jose Olivarez, Safia Elhillo, and Mahogany L. Browne. The anthology will be available for purchase at the event.
