“Two Weeks” by FKA Twigs

This video, the trembling hand crown, the slow pullback. FKA Twigs is filling the void left by Aaliyah Sade, giving us R&B from a woman like we haven’t had in years.

Twigs, gold-palmed goddess, giving Sarah Connor a run for her money with those arms. Here an empowered sexual woman approaches someone who’s hurting from an ex – “give me two weeks, you’ll forget about her.” She’s clear: lick my clit and I will be all over your body like smoke. We’ll get stoned on fucking. “My thighs are apart when you’re ready to breathe in.” I’ll make you high I’m so good.

“Two Weeks” – the ultimate fuck anthem.

Then there’s “Papi Pacify.”  I could write about the video for pages. She directed this genius. Maybe that’s why at one point she’s covered in diamonds.
